Training Delivery:

  • Bus and Coach Engineering Technician Training will be delivered on a block release model at our Wythenshawe Campus (M22 9UH), with apprentices attending college for approximately 10 weeks per year
  • During this time, apprentices will develop the underpinning knowledge and practical skills required for the role, supported by experienced tutors and industry-standard facilities. In the workplace, apprentices will be supported through on-site assessments and observations to ensure competence is applied in a real working environment
  • All apprentices are required to log their off-the-job training hours, evidencing development across both on-programme learning and workplace activities in line with apprenticeship funding requirements

  • They will be competent in applying industry standards, health and safety practices, and modern diagnostic techniques, enabling them to work independently and contribute effectively within a professional engineering environment
  • Learners will also complete their End-Point Assessment (EPA), demonstrating occupational competence, with progression opportunities into skilled technician roles and further development within the sector
