DESCRIPTION:Come along to our information and enrolment event about Supported Internship opportunities for young adults with SEND or LDD needs. \n\n\n\nWe’re working in partnership with Liverpool City Council to offer an exciting new opportunity to adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. \n\n\n\nSupported internships are 6 month programmes that are designed to help adults aged 19-24 with additional learning needs progress into fulfilling careers. \n\n\n\nThe 6-month programme consists of: \n\n\n\n\n4-6 weeks of full-time study at The City of Liverpool College\, developing the knowledge\, skills and behaviours needed to transition into the workplace.\n\n\n\n16-20 weeks of a 4 days per week work placement within the learner’s desired employment sector. The fifth day each week will be spent at college to gain a sector-specific qualification\, and to reflect and review progress with their individual job coach.\n\n\n\n\nLearners are supported by an their own individual job coach who will support them both while at COLC and on their internship. \n\n\n\nEntry requirements \n\n\n\nTo be eligible for a supported internship\, you must: \n\n\n\n\nBe aged 19-24\n\n\n\nBe based in the Liverpool City Region\n\n\n\nHave complex special education needs or disabilities (SEND) or learning difficulties and disabilities (LDD) – please note an EHCP is not required.\n\n\n\nNeed the level of support that a supported internship offers in order to get a job.\n\n\n\n\nIf you have already recently attended a Supported Internships Information & Enrolment Event\, you do not need to attend another. \n\n\n\nReserve your place at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/supported-internships-information-enrolment-event-tickets-811333409067?aff=oddtdtcreator

DESCRIPTION:The Nuffield Research and Experience Placement Programme is coordinated nationally by STEM Learning and managed in the Northwest by All About STEM. It is a funded scheme\, which gives Y12 students the chance to take part in a real-life research or industry placement during the summer holiday between Y12 and Y13.  \n\n\n\nA 1-2 week placement with a host organisation\, university or company\, will provide an insight into the work that goes on in academic or industry settings and help you to explore what you might like to study at university or do as a career. \n\n\n\nJoin us at our Y12 Nuffield Research and Experience Placement Information Session to find out more about the programme and how complete a strong application. \n\n\n\nClick to register to attend. After registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting \n\n\n\nThe programme is open to Y12 students from state-funded schools or colleges\, who meet the eligibility criteria.
