King’s Trust- Explore Taster Session (Personal Development Programme)

Young people aged 16–25 can attend a taster session to learn more about the Explore Programme, meet the staff, and connect with potential peers.

The 5 week outdoor-based programme runs from 9:45am to 3:00pm, with Week One being Monday to Friday, and Weeks Two to Eight running Tuesday to Friday.

Week One Activities:

• Monday: Crocky Trails – Teamwork and building relationships
• Tuesday: Indoor Climbing – Goal setting, confidence, comfort zones
• Wednesday: Low-level walk – Emotions and relationship building
• Thursday: Canoeing – Team building
• Friday: Self-reflection in Wales

Weeks Two to Five:

Focus on life and work skills, including employability, independent living, healthy lifestyles, cooking, and arts – all delivered in a fun, informal way.

What’s Provided:

• Free lunch
• Covered travel costs up to £4 (if needed)
• All activity costs and equipment
• Entry Level 3 qualification in Personal Development
• First Aid training

After the course, participants get up to 12 months of one-to-one support to help them progress into further opportunities, either with The King’s Trust or other organisations.
