Dental Traineeship Start – The Learning Foundry

Our dental programme will explore the key skills you need to progress into a dental career, including:
- The role of a dental nurse
- Experience mixing materials in a dental setting
- Knowledge of the tooth structure
- Professionalism for a dental career
- Decontamination
- Health and Safety
- First-aid
- Time management
- Communication skills
- Presentation skills
- Customer service
- Interview skills
- Digital skills
- English and Maths (if needed)
Will I get work experience?
As part of this course, you’ll undertake a work experience placement at a dental practice, shadowing dental nurses to find out about their role, assisting with sterilisation of equipment, dealing with patients, preparing surgeries for procedures, and more!
